Our Commitment
Artist in Residence is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for every customer, subscriber, employee, contractor, vendor, and partner. We believe creativity belongs to everyone, and we do not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form.
Scope
This policy applies to all business conducted by Artist in Residence, including our website, subscription boxes, workshops, markets and events, homeschool programming, customer service, social media channels, hiring and contracting, and relationships with suppliers and partners.
Non-Discrimination
Artist in Residence does not discriminate on the basis of, and prohibits discrimination against any person because of:
- Race, color, ethnicity, or national origin
- Religion, creed, or religious practice
- Sex, gender, gender identity, or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Age
- Disability or medical condition
- Pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions
- Marital or family status

- Any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law
Harassment
Harassment is a form of discrimination and is strictly prohibited. Harassment includes unwelcome conduct, comments, imagery, or communication that is based on a protected characteristic and that creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, or offensive environment. This includes conduct in person, in writing, by phone, by email, or on social media.

Reports are taken seriously, reviewed promptly, and handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. We prohibit retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or participates in a review.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in corrective action, including ending a subscription, removal from an event or program, ending a vendor or partner relationship, or termination of employment or contract, as appropriate.
Updates
Artist in Residence may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
